Quartzite gives you marble's looks with far more muscle. Veining runs from soft to dramatic, and the stone shrugs off heat and wear. Busy kitchens pick it when they want both.
How quartzite forms
One block at a time, straight from the quarry.
Quartzite starts as sandstone. Intense heat and pressure fuse the sand grains into nearly pure crystalline quartz.
The result is one of the hardest stones we stock. Low porosity, heat tolerant, abrasion resistant, with color and movement that vary block to block.

Pick your quartzite by hand.
Walk both yards, tag the slab you want, and we hold it until your fabricator is ready. Open 8 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Saturday.
